As an introduction, Microsoft Dynamics AX is one of Microsoft's Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) mid-market products, part of the Dynamics family. Currently in its 8th release (Dynamics AX 2009), the software now offers role-based functionality to both the Enterprise Portal and windows clients, as well as timezones support and Enterprise Portal development.
